Lusko started his journey in filmmaking after his parents bought him a high-8 video camera for his fourteenth birthday, which would forever change his life. He soon would make his first short film, an homage to the epic which first opened his eyes to motion pictures, Last of the Mohicans. After attending film school at The New York Film Academy, his early films have defined him as a trusted filmmaker among North American audiences. He began his career with multiple hit documentaries based upon New York Times best-sellers, including Inside The Revolution, and Epicenter, a film that literally stunned distributors when it grossed over seven figures through home entertainment and network TV sales. The unexpected success of these low budget films paved the way to a series of docudramas including Never Surrender (EMI/Universal), which chronicles the true origins of Delta Force. Recently Daniel has signed on to write and direct a slate of feature films including Fairy Tales, Brothers in Christ, and Persecuted; a live action thriller produced in collaboration with Gray Frederickson (The Godfather).
